The Missing Piece

Oh, you’ve gotta be kidding me. We recently got a puzzle roller mat so we can reserve our progress on puzzles without taking up too much space.

Two evenings ago, I started a new puzzle and take a look at how it went:

Wait, wait, wait wait....

I'm missing the last piece.

I looked everywhere!

After destroying the puzzle - - accepting that the library could probably have incomplete puzzles -- I ended up finding the last piece.

Where was the missing piece, you ask? Turns out when I was setting up the puzzle roller mat, I decided to turn it over2 and one of the pieces must've hid underneath.

I laughed it off for a good three minutes. I considered redoing the whole thing but then I wouldn’t have had a good story to tell.

  2. The puzzle roller mat we have has two sides. One solid black and one with measurements. The measurements weren't accurate last time so during the set up, I flipped it over to use the solid black side.↩
