Subject line: Our new chapter!

I can’t believe today will be the start of another new beginning and chapter together. It feels like just yesterday in 2022 we were laying on the corduroy thinking about our future and future goals… starting to save some money each month so that one day we can reach our goal of becoming homeowners… We even wrote all of our goals in a little white board… some of those goals have changed but the meanings of them have not.

Today, I am so proud of us.. I am proud of how hard we have both worked to get here… I'll always remember the times I would cry after leaving the Zillow app bc I felt like we would never get our dream… I will always remember all the prayers and rosaries we said… I will remember the sacrifices we made to be able to afford this home… I will remember our journey. Our 2 bids before we found this home in the woods. I will remember our talks of maybe settling for an alternate option or maybe just getting a condo. But no.. we decided not to and for that I’ll always be thankful.

This will be a new journey but I’m so excited to be taking on this journey alongside my forever partner. Thank you God for the blessings you have given us. Thank you for giving me someone to go through this journey with together.

This is for the little boy who has lived in apartments his whole life and will now have a HOME of his own… this is for the girl who has been privileged to have her family house since a little girl but always wanted something of her own.. and this is for our family and future kids so they have something special too.

I look forward to all the memories we will make in our new home! It’s going to be the start of something beautiful. Thanks be to God… <3
