My First Haiku Poem
In high school, I entered a Haiku contest that the library was hosting. We were to write the poem on paper and add it to the bulletin board for the judges to score. One of my friends was an incredible artist with the best handwriting so I asked her to please help me with it, and so she did. And the poem won. What an awesome memory. Almost as good as the memories of me winning in Chinese Checkers on the days we had subs.
Through your big brown eyes,
Eutopia in disguise,
I'll stay by your side.
